Elm Grove Elementary School in Houston, Texas features a custom shade structure designed to support an outdoor classroom environment for students and teachers. The PlayWell Group provided a timber shade structure with low CMU columns, creating a durable and inviting space for learning, gathering, and outdoor instruction. The completed shelter extends the classroom experience beyond the building while offering comfort, shade, and a strong architectural presence on campus.
